THE WAY

The soul of child is said to choose its parents
on birthday eve to solve its karma task.
And loving couple takes exceeding care
of grown offspring who begins to ask

one day what relatives will not reply him.
The hunger of cognition that led Eve
to apple tree will force him to seek lighthouse
of wisdom flashed in eyes which would believe

in him. He wants to feed his hungry genus.
He striving for high aim must conquer low
temptations, and to reach the noble finish
he's given insupportable orphan lot.

Divine economy'll suggest to him the only
of gospel truths: it's difficult to deserve
the keys from mysteries. He'll maybe see good omen
when he reveals that many oysters serve

for dinner and grow precious tiny bodies
for necklace fitted any charming girl.
Once God will strew in front of him with godspeed
the priceless homeopathic little pearls

(and over them halo of new behest is)
instead of bread when scion is awakened
like cherub guarding genus. Key from heavens
will be shown him, well-tried, thus first that day.

But everybody who holds it will not see
the only keyhole. Only pure love
can find it by fine similar signs. Godsend
will help to solve an intricate health puzzle.

And if the secret lock by pearl is opened
on righteous hunting for disease of soul,

source of his suffering, remembering all sins.
That is confession of internal bruising
domain that hid its litter ever since.

This rubbish can be burnt in saving fire
of one's devoted service that was blazed
by healthy spirit purified by wisest
of remedies. But out of such lay

the illness will be back. And ten commandments
which Moses heard are essence of the terms
of that devotion. Thanks to god's voice thunder
people left the slavery to come ahead and germ.

REPORT OF SEMINAR BY G. VITHOULKAS IN ALONISSOS JUNE 28 - JULY 2, 1998

Again George Vithoulkas taught a group of students and more experienced individuals at his beautiful center for Homeopathy on the Island of Alonissos about 200 kms north of Athens for 5 days. It is really amazing to listen to this living legend and I wonder how many people really knows how hard he works. We can only admire the way he manages all his tasks.

This course mainly consisted of live cases of participating colleagues with some older cases on video, some very difficult, some fairly easy ones. A difficult case from Norway (albuminuria, hypotonia, haemorrhagic colitis) turned out to be acetanilidum, a remedy totally new to me.

The patient fitted well the picture of acetanilidum and this rare remedy is well described in Materia Medica Viva.

George Vithoulkas also talked about expected reactions of the remedy depending on how deep the pathology of the patient is from the beginning. If I got all right this is what he said: if the patient is really healthy (A-patient, B patients less healthier) the right remedy will seldom cause an acute ailment in the first 1-2 following years.

In a more sick person (C; D; E level, etc.) an acute ailment after the remedy would indicate that the pathology moves to a more outer layer, which is a real positive sign.

In the afternoons we could relax, spend time with our family on this beautiful and friendly island. A nice mixture of work and leisure. We had come far for this opportunity, so the next time for my part, I would like to suggest another two hours in the evening for lectures or some sort of organized work in smaller groups. We were 120 students altogether and the biggest group came from Sweden this time.

Invited by our host George Vithoulkas, everybody immensely enjoyed the closing evening part, including a superb dinner made by a first class cook, music and dancing as well in the velvet Mediterranean night with a beautiful view over the sea and islands.

I really want to go back to Alonissos for many reasons! Thanks for a great week!
