SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PROCEDURES OF ELECTION OF THE NATIONAL LMHI VICE PRESIDENTS

"The International Council of the LMHI expects from the National Delegates to be supported by a large consensus among the homeopathic community in each country, across local associations.

A call for candidacy should be made previously and be followed by a written vote in an assembly or by mail that confirms the demanded support." (LMHI International Council, October 1996, Capri)

  1. The term of the National Vice President is three years, with eligibility for re-election for another term of three years.

  2. Six months before finishing his/her term, the National Vice President shall inform all LMHI members of the country by written letter that the candidacy is open.

  3. Any full LMHI member with at least three years membership in the LMHI can apply for the candidacy.

  4. The National Vice President shall collect the names of the candidates, and publish for all of the LMHI members of his country. He/she shall send a written form on which the LMHI members shall write the name of the candidate of their choice. The elections shall be by written form, at least 3 months before the LMHI congress.

  5. The public counting of the ballots shall take place at a location designated by the national homeopathic association(s), by the selected Teller Committee.

  6. The results of the LMHI elections shall be published for the national homeopathic community, and forwarded to the LMHI General Secretary who shall inform the International Council prior to the succeeding LMHI Congress for its acceptance.
