55th CONGRESS OF THE LIGA MEDICORUM HOMEOPATHICA INTERNATIONALIS, BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, MAY 13-17, 2000

Dear Colleagues,
Hungary has been awarded the honour to host the 55th Congress of the Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis to be held between May 13-17, 2000.
In Hungary, where homeopathy has great traditions, a Congress of this kind was organised last time in 1935. Since then - especially during a ban of more than 40 years - no such event could be held here. The Congress in 2000 is meant, among others, to put an end to that long period of silence.
The year 2000 is also the year of the Hungarian Millennium. The Millennium festivities will most probably raise interest in Hungary all over the world. By organising the congress, Hungary may very well find itself in the centre of the attention of the ever-expanding international homeopathic community. In addition to promoting homeopathy, our Congress will also contribute to the fulfilment of the objectives of Millennium festivities.
The year 2000 is at the same time the turn of the century. Many people say that homeopathy is the healing method of the 21st century and will receive its due recognition in the new era. This is the reason why we have decided to select “Homeopathy - Medical Art of the 21st Century” as the main theme of the Congress.
The Congress will be held on the premises of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Count István Széchenyi, founder of the Academy, was known to subject himself to homeopathic treatment. Is there a worthier venue in Hungary for the first lecture by George Vithoulkas, winner of the Alternative Nobel Prize?
Prof. Dr. Mathias Dorcsi, who is Hungarian on his father’s side, will be the Honorary President of the Congress. The Austrian professor, living now in Germany, has done a lot to start the education of classical homeopathy in Hungary.
Homeopathic experts of international fame have been invited to give presentations every day. In addition to George Vithoulkas of Greece, the Congress will feature Farokh J. Master of India, Tatyana D. Popova of Ukraine and Massimo Mangialavori of Italy.
We look forward to a successful and memorable Congress attended by researchers and practitioners of homeopathy from all over the world.

58th CONGRESS OF LIGA MEDICORUM HOMEOPATHICA INTERNATIONALIS, APRIL 22-26, 2003. GRAZ, AUSTRIA
Invitation
Graz - with 250,000 inhabitants Graz is the second largest city in Austria. It has been designated as Europe’s cultural capital in 2003. Graz was once the magnificent residence of the Habsburgs and today it is still one of the best preserved Old Towns in Europe. The Schloßberg (473 m/1,500 feet) rises directly above the Town Centre and with its hanging gardens it provides an inviting place to relax. From the Uhrturm (Clock Tower), Graz’s most famous landmark, one can enjoy a view to the most important sights of the town: Renaissance buildings with well-kept courtyards and buildings with baroque and art nouveau facades. Small bars and shops give the town an almost Mediterranean feel. Graz stands on the river Mur, the largest and most important of Styria’s rivers. This makes it particularly attractive and lively. Only 10 minutes from the Town Centre there are the green hills of the surrounding countryside of Graz. This is a natural landscape with meadows, streams and ponds, hills, fruit plantations and vineyards where you may spend holidays in the countryside and yet remain very close to the City.
The Austrian homeopaths will welcome you in Graz and are looking forward to your visit. It will be an interesting congress in a relaxed atmosphere.
